When you compare Puerto Rico to Hawaii, the influx of tourism is similar because Puerto Rico is part of the U.S., yet the island has a severe lack of accommodations.

I own the largest inventory of Airbnb properties in Old San Juan, holding many historic buildings. Our occupancy rate is constantly around 90%, with high rates due to the shortage of rooms. The government provides tax incentives for those who develop hotels to mitigate this issue.

However, Puerto Rico is not for the faint of heart. It's a challenging market, but I've been there for years due to the tax incentives and deep knowledge of the area, laws, and restrictions. Going in without guidance can be a mistake, but I've helped many navigate these waters.
