During the play along section over Autumn Leaves in this video I refer to a commonly misunderstood distinction regarding "what scales to use over Autumn Leaves" or any tune.

In short, you can use the G minor pentatonic scale on all of the chords in this song as long as you do it carefully and thoughtfully. But you can also use other scales. The best way IMHO to be SURE of what notes to play over any chord is to really know the chord and use notes from the chord. Nonetheless using a scalar approach is sometimes very useful.

As I always say, there are more important things than just the notes to play. Clear melodic rhythms and phrases with beginnings and endings for example.
