Tribute to Indian Soldiers in Haifa | Israel .
In September Israel marked Haifa day, and paid tribute to fallen Indian soldiers also known as Haifa Heroes.
Indian soldiers played an important role in freeing Haifa from Ottomans in World War 1 .
As part of the British Empire The lancers of Jodhpur, Mysore and Hyderabad were fighting in World War I. The leader of the battle was Major Thakur Dalpat Singh , it was due to his leading command and courage that a few horsemen defeated the Ottoman forces armed with machine guns.
he lost his life with other Indian soldiers who laid their lives on the battlefield to liberate city of Haifa.
