Batty Boy is a uncompromising short film exploring the complexities of the black gay coming out experience through the eyes of young a young Black British gay boy of Caribbean heritage as he faces the struggles of fitting in with a community posing strong cultural homophobic beliefs. Set against the backdrop of a dancehall black gay clubbing scene a homophobic song being played triggers Dolcie to remember past memories that where influential in setting him on the path to being an openly Black gay man.
