Colt Brothers Eleven More Months and Ten More Days Part 1

Описание к видео Colt Brothers Eleven More Months and Ten More Days Part 1

Among the first hillbilly stereotypes, Arthur Fields and Fred Hall -- sponsored as "Rex Cole's Mountaineers" by a refrigerator salesman named Rex Cole -- doing their Long Tom Colt and Joe Colt thing such as you might have heard one New York night in 1931 on radio station WEAF. Funny when you think about what's coming out of Nashville these days that the Colt Brothers are classified as "synthetic country" .

The same guys also recorded as Eddie Younger & his Mountaineers, Sam Cole & his Cornhuskers, Gunboat Billy & The Sparrow, Buck Wilson & his Rangers.

This is a Brunswick recording (2/5/31) on a UK Decca subsidiary label modeled on the Melotone design.

Purchased near Collingwood, Ontario in the late 1990s.
