Garden Sessions: Episode 3

Something a little different for Episode 3 of the Garden Sessions. I woke up the morning of recording this with the feeling that I just wanted to play some old jazz standards, so here is one of my favourites 'What a difference a day makes.'

There is something so special about playing songs with such a long and weaving history. This track originated back in 1934 in Spanish entitled 'Cuando vuelva a tu lado,' originally performed by the Mexican singer Maria Grever. The song was then popularised in English by Dinah Washington in 1959 as 'What a difference a day makes.' Since then it has been recorded by so many of the greats.
