EarthQuaker Devices Hizumitas vs Electro Harmonix Triangle Big Muff (+ Boss DS-1) - Sound like Boris

Hi folks, we finally got our hands on a brand new EarthQuaker Devices Hizumitas. We're huge Boris fans, so we're pretty excited about this video. As you know, the Hizumitas is based on Wata's Elk BM Sustainar, which is a Japanese variant of the famous Triangle Big Muff PI by Electro Harmonix. EQD stated that they tried many vintage Triangle Big Muffs and Elk Sustainars, but they all sounded different. For this reason, they ask Wata to send them her Elk BM Sustainar. The Hizumitas is the replica of Wata's personal Elk BM Sustainar.

This story shows a familiarity between the Elk BM Sustainar and the Triangle Big Muff. For this reason, we decided to compare the Hizumitas and the EQD Triangle Big Muff reissue. On top of that,
we threw into the mix a Boss DS-1. Apparently, this is a crucial ingredient of Wata's sound. Enjoy the video!
