Update on the Elevator at the Viscount Gort Hotel (Ugly Modernization)

I was not able to get a good video of these elevators because for one reason this hotel was super sketchy and had lots of sketchy people when I was here, some of them almost acting drunk or like they were about to faint so I was not comfortable filming or being here. Also the staff here are super mean and I have been busted here a few times and had a lot of close calls to getting busted or gotten lots of dirty looks from hotel staff. The last time I was here was in November and the front desk lady got super mad and was yelling at the other guy in the desk about "why I was there". I had not been here since then because of that bust and I finally came back and was greeted by this ugly modernization.

About the first 3 elevators seen in this video: These elevators just got the cabs redone. The new cabs look ugly! Thankfully the fixtures, motors, controllers, and everything else are still original on these 3 elevators. Even though these elevators look ugly, they are still worth riding and filming because they are still almost fully original.

Now the last one in the video: This one got by far the worst mod. Not only does the new cab look the worst in this one but it also got stupid new buttons! (used to be an Otis Black-Button with Lexan call buttons) The new buttons look super cheap and ugly. They also feel cheap, even though the other elevator in that building has the same buttons, there is a huge difference in the quility of the buttons. The third elevator seen in this video was modded around 2010 and they did a good job, the buttons on that one feel well built. But on the last one seen on this video, they did a garbage job! The buttons feel so much cheaper!!!! Also this elevator is way to small for the cab upgrade it got, it used to have nice mirrors on all 3 sides which made it feel bigger. Now with the ugly new cab that doesn't have mirrors, it feels way smaller. What an awful mod. Thankfully though, the motor and controller are still original so this elevator is still a good elevator, just with crappy buttons and a really ugly cab. This elevator is still worth riding, but maybe not filming because there is not really anything to look at that isn't so ugly.
