What happened to the Night Gallery paintings? Night Gallery co-author Jim Benson reveals the strange and sometimes sad fate of these classic, and valuable, TV artifacts.

The fate of the Night Gallery paintings has always been shrouded in mystery--until now!

Artist Tom Wright created over 100 paintings for the classic horror TV series, Rod Serling’s Night Gallery. When Rod Serling's Night Gallery aired on NBC from 1970 to 1973, Mr. Wright's paintings became a nationwide phenomenon, ultimately becoming rare and much sought-after works of art.

Tom Wright’s paintings for Night Gallery, Serling's follow-up to his classic TV series The Twilight Zone, served as a visual springboard for Rod Serling’s distinctive narrations and were truly the show's soul.

After creating Night Gallery’s frightening canvases, Tom Wright became one of Hollywood’s top television directors, notably on the hit TV series NCIS.
