Back in 2001 due to popular demand, the BBC released a limited edition music CD containing theme music from BBC World News composed by David Lowe. As far as I know, it was only released to an audience who had made enquiries about the music at the time.

Even today, 20+ years later, much interest persists in the BBC World News theme music due to its catchy melody and authoritative style.
