This is my second Irish GM Class 201 model locomotive from Murphy Models that I own in my fleet and this one is 229 named as the "River Maine" in the Intercity Silver and Two-tone green stripes which looks stunning on this model. The model is DCC ready and a decoder can be popped in the model by removing the roof panel on the top. I am hoping to fit sound in this model as soon as Murphy release the decoders as this locomotives do sound nice and they sound more meaty than a Class 66, but thats another story. The model is weighty and it would easily haul a full length rake of carriages with ease. I paid 160 Euros for this model when I was on my break in Ireland and I bought this model as a sovernir of my trip and I will visiting there again in 2012. The model also has the nameplates in English and Gaelic which is a nice touch to the model. Yet again, another excellent model from Murphy Models and I would certainly recommend this model to any Iarnród Éireann (Irish Railways) modeller or those that like Irish Trains such as myself.
