Aditya Gaur: So the ATN stands for the Adolescent Trials Network, and it’s focused on HIV prevention and treatment in the United States. HIV unfortunately still remains a major issue in adolescents and having a network that supports different sites, different disciplines coming together, sharing ideas and working on a common purpose is so critical, too.

Dalisa Santiago: I think the ATN is important because the youth, the population that’s getting infected the most with HIV, 13-24, we’re really targeting this population and meeting them where they’re at, which is technology, and exploring different avenues of how we can not only get them into research, but get them into care and get them retained over time and also getting them involved with their communities and research.
