Detective Sergeant Cody Becker is being remembered not only for his dedication to serving his community but also to his fellow officers who stood alongside him.

Becker was one of three Northern York County Regional officers killed while serving a warrant at a home in North Codorus Township on Sept. 17.

WRAP Technologies, a provider of public safety devices and resources, said Becker had been one of its instructors. He was passionate about his work training his fellow officers.

Chandler Bergey, the director of revenue services for WRAP, said Becker’s legacy as a compassionate and committed teacher will continue to live on.

"I do feel the heartbreak. You know, we lost a great trainer and an officer [who] was really making a difference in the world,” Bergey said.

He said Becker believed that serving the community was about leading by example.
