Addressing a public rally in Chhattisgarh as a part of the election campaign, Home Minister Amit Shah on April 14 launched a scathing attack on former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel saying that he did not even spare God and did a scam worth Rs 508 crore in the Mahadev App Case.
"If he (Bhupesh Baghel) says that today is Monday, then it is definitely not. Because he never speaks the truth. He took an oath on 'Gangajal' that he would ban liquor but rivers of alcohol are flowing today. He did Mahadev app corruption. He spoke of opening the jute industry, but he didn't. He promised to give Rs. 5000 per month to women, but he didn't... There have been a lot of scams in this country but no scam was in the name of God. Congress did a 2G scam, CWG scam, Bofors scam, and submarine scam but no scam was named after God. Bhupesh Baghel did not even leave God. He did a scam worth Rs. 508 crore in the Mahadev app case..." said Shah.
