CN Autorack Train - Cutler Street

Описание к видео CN Autorack Train - Cutler Street

A loaded auto rack train, led by CN 8814 and CN 2504, rolls through the now closed (to vehicles) Cutler Street railroad crossing in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Lots of graffiti! This crossing was closed to vehicular traffic after CN purchased the Wisconsin Central. The signals, left over from the Soo Line era, were left in place as a warning to pedestrians and bicyclists who use the sidewalk to cross the tracks. Just to the south of the crossing (the background in this video) was also the location of the diamond for Chicago & Northwestern's former West Allis - Madison line. Part of the line in Waukesha is left in place as Wisconsin & Southern's Waukesha Subdivision, which branches off at this point and then shifts onto the former Milwaukee Road track about a mile west from this spot. WSOR has trackage rights over the CN between Slinger and Waukesha to reach their Waukesha Subdivision.
