Customer from Ashford gave me a call saying that the front door locking mechanism wasn't working from the outside only from inside and they couldn't lock the door if there were to leave the house.

Took the mechanism off the door and the culprit was obvious. Given it was only a couple of miles away from home told the customer that I might have the part needed at home to give me a few moments to go and check see if I could sort it out there and then. Sure enough going through the spare parts box I found a replacement and we had a working mechanism again.

Went back to the customer, installed and tested the mechanism, everything working as it should again. Gave them a guarantee of 12 months for the repair and jobs a gooden.

Customer happy... everyone happy... onto the next job.
