Finchley Graft: An Easy Alternative to the Kitchener Stitch

Описание к видео Finchley Graft: An Easy Alternative to the Kitchener Stitch

Learn the Finchley graft, an easy to remember alternative to the Kitchener Stitch.

The Finchley Graft creates a series of purl stitches across the graft and is generally (but not always) worked with the wrong side of the fabric facing.

The Kitchener Stitch creates a series of knit stitches across the graft and is generally (but not always) worked with the right side of the fabric facing.

Note: The term "Finchley Graft" was first used by Roxanne Richardson in 2019. The technique itself is not new, however the terminology is a way for knitters to differentiate that the graft is being performed purl-wise instead of knit-wise (the more widely-recognized Kitchener Stitch).
