This was the sound 10,000 returning Liverpool fans made when Sadio Mane’s goal fired Jurgen Klopp’s side in front in their crucial clash with Crystal Palace.

Mane’s 36th-minute strike put Liverpool 1-0 in front in the first match at Anfield with supporters since December.

If the Reds go on to win the game they will almost certainly book their place in next season’s Champions League.

Liverpool went into the final match of the season ahead of Leicester City in fourth place after a nine-game unbeaten run.

But they had to withstand some early scares against Palace with Andros Townsend in particular wasting a golden opportunity.

But the tension was lifted nine minutes before half-time when Mane pounced to score in front of the Anfield Road end.

And the moments before and after the goal went in were captured by the video at the top of this story.
