When you’re sharing your sound with other sources than your own mixer thing can get complicated with gain. Whether you’re sending lines to streaming or broadcast or sharing the mic input with another mixer, say a monitor mixer, if you change the gain, it will affect everyone else.

Digital gain offers a solution to this. By enabling digital gain you will be able to change the gain on your mixer for your channels while leaving it unaffected. This means that if you need to change the gain to better suit your mix or to better respond to compressors, for example, you can do so without affecting others sharing the channels.
