بدءاً من الصبر واللباقة ومروراً بالإبداع
starting from patience and tact to creativity
من هذا المنطلق، فإنّ الدبلوماسية تتطلب مجموعة واسعة من المهارات
From this perspective, diplomacy requires a wide range of skills
لتنفيذ المهمة المُكلف بها بكل نجاح
to successfully carry out the assigned mission
ولا شك أنّ الدبلوماسية تقتضي تفكيراً استراتيجياً

فالدبلوماسي لا بد أن يفكر في العديد من الخطوات المقبلة لإعداد وتنفيذ السياسات

لا سيما عند العمل في مجال المنظمات الدولية

حيث التفاعل بين أطراف عديدة ومصالح كثيرة

ولعلّ أهم العناصر التي تميّز الدبلوماسي الناجح هي

أولا، التحلي بمهارات التفكير النقدي
First, possessing critical thinking skills
فالدبلوماسية تتطلب أن يتقن الدبلوماسي الكثير،
Diplomacy requires diplomats to master many things
إذ أن اكتساب مهارات التفكير النقدي ليس بالمهمة السهلة
as acquiring critical thinking skills is not an easy task
فهي تحتاج الى صياغة إطار نظري
it requires formulating a theoretical framework
لتحديد أصل القضية وبحث كافة العناصر المتعلقة بها
to identify the root of the issue and examine all related elements
ثانياً، التفكير خارج الصندوق
Second, thinking outside the box
إذ أنّ تولي المناصب المرموقة يتطلب
as holding prestigious positions requires
قدراً معيناً من التركيز والقدرة على التنبؤ
a certain degree of focus and the ability to predict
بحيث يستطيع الدبلوماسي استخدام أدوات مثل الابداع والابتكار
allowing the diplomat to use tools such as creativity and innovation
لكن يدرك تماماً كيفية التحرك
while fully understanding how to operate
خارج إطار العمل الموجود لتحقيق الأهداف
outside the existing framework to achieve objectives
ثالثاً، التواصل الفعّال
Third, effective communication
إذ من المفيد الإنصات باهتمام لما يقال
as it is beneficial to listen attentively to what is being said
وتقدير خلفية الشخص الآخر وطرح أسئلة توضيحية
appreciate the other person's background, and ask clarifying questions
لكي يعمل الموظفون معًا بشكل أفضل
so that employees can work together more effectively

صفة تختص بالتّمثيل السياسيّ للدّول

وكيفيّة إدارة شؤونها الخارجيّة

هي أيضاً وسيلة ناجحة للاتّصال بين الأفراد
it is also a successful means of communication between individuals
وبفضلها انتهت الحروب والنزاعات
thanks to it, wars and conflicts have ended
وعليه، لا بد للدبلوماسي حتى يكون ناجحاً أن يتحلى بقدر كافٍ
Therefore, a diplomat must possess a sufficient amount
من الصفات اللازمة في مجال الدبلوماسية
of the necessary qualities in the field of diplomacy
ليتمكن من خلالها إيصال الصورة المشرقة للبلد التي ينتمي اليها
to be able to convey the positive image of the country to which they belong
