Amatrol’s IGNITE: Mastering Manufacturing program combines self-directed eLearning with real-world equipment to teach students the hands-on, transferable skills industry needs today. IGNITE students gain real-world experience with advanced materials, the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), and other Industry 4.0 technologies.

For example, AmSkills works with Anclote High School to facilitate its four-year Advanced Manufacturing program using IGNITE. As Tom Mudano, President/CEO of AmSkills, notes, “There are a lot of our high school students who have no idea what they want to do in life, so we use our IGNITE program from Amatrol to help show them the different careers that are available to them.”

Mudano stresses that “what we are trying to do is help open the eyes [of students] to these careers that they don’t even know exist.” Chris Mahan, AmSkills Career Coach, adds: “This isn’t just a place to learn. This is really a place that changes peoples’ lives.”

Evie Chitty, Anclote High School CTE Instructor, stresses how critical Amatrol has been in making her job easier: “We collaborated with [AmSkills] for the Amatrol curriculum. The curriculum is essential, because all the technical parts are worked out. As an educator, what I can do is I can take the Florida Department of Education standards and align them with the curriculum.”
