This lesson is an extension to alternate picking basics. Instead of doing one method of alternate picking we will use a few. While watching many different players You might find how many different methods are used. We have players who use elbow, wrist, fingers in different proportion, different resting points and different hand position. It only proves of how individual is the way to execute alternate picking. In my case there are a few different approaches depending on the situation (low vs high strings, muted vs open, string skipping vs one string playing). You can find Yourself feeling comfortable with only one solid grip of the pick and hand position. Before You decide it's worth trying different ways. Same as me, You might find using a combo is a good idea. Decide on Your own and in the meantime let's go through the lesson.

Gear used (in order of connection chain placement):

1. Hufschmid Helldunkel electric guitar (Seymour Duncan SH4 + SH2N)
2. Behringer MIC100 tube preamp (-20db switch on, gain and out knobs about 50%)
3. Presonus Inspire 1394 firewire audio interface (input gain 25%)
4. TSE X50 - amp sim (default settings besides middle knob = 30%)
6. Kefir impulse loader + catharsis 1on-pres5 cab impulse ((mix 100%, gain 30%, length 0 %)
7. Cubase track EQ (High Pass = 211 Hz :: 792 Hz -9,4 dB Q 0,6 :: 3,78 kHz -7dB Q 1.4, Low Pass 7,10 kHz)
