North Loop Trail Meadow, Hike Mt. Charleston, Spring Mountains NRA, Nevada

Getting acclimated!

This morning I joined the Lone Mountain hiking club for a hike up to the Meadow along the North Loop Trail at Mt. Charleston. Mt. Charleston is located northwest of Las Vegas and is a great place to hike and climb when the temps are too hot in Las Vegas. This morning, our hike took us up among fragrant ponderosas and tall evergreens. After a mile-and-a-half is a flat ridge, known as the meadow, where we took our break before heading back down.
