Food for the Soul = Klon for the Bass? (please read the description below 😉)

Описание к видео Food for the Soul = Klon for the Bass? (please read the description below 😉)

Welcome back to the wetter bass,

Funny how YouTube not only compresses the sound but also adds EQ? Cause from the original audios straight out of my DAW to the final video, there seems to be more bass frequencies, almost a V shape EQ added. This is definitely more of a consumer friendly approach to sound, but not the best for audio accuracy...

WHY am I talking about that? Well, from what I feel when using it with an amp and hear while recording with it, there is an obvious DROP of LOW END once the Bass Soul Food overdrive pedal in switched ON. But in the video review, it's not that obvious! Although, to be honest with you, I did raise the bass knob of the onboard active preamp quite a bit... and sometimes all the way up!!! Add compression and V shape EQ and... that's the result you hear in the video. 😬

I just needed to clear this out for you, as my main objectives are being coherent and trying to make you hear the pedal how it really sounds like (in this case, without cab sim, compression, etc.).

Thanks for watching the video (and reading this)!
