VIDEO CONTENTS:
[0:00] Introduction
[1:50] Presoak overnight in plain tap water
rinse the yarn
[3:32] Soad Ash presoak
presoaked overnight in plain tap water
Make a new bath with 8 cups warm tap water + 0.5 oz (~14 g) of soda ash
Soak the yarn for ~20 minutes
[4:25] Can you dye with Baking Soda?
[6:49] The Dye Colors
Dharma Fiber Reactive Procion Dyes in Fuschia Red and Lemon Yellow
[8:21] Setting up for dyeing
Asperitas yarn mop off to the side, the other 2 yarns in a steam pan
[9:14] Dyeing the yarn
Add a small amount of soda ash presoak onto the yarn to help spread the colors
[13:14] Flipping the yarn to dye the other side
[18:01] Heat setting the yarn
steam set for 45 minutes
[20:36] Washing the yarn
