The COMPLETE DIY guide to installing a FLOYD ROSE Tremolo in a Stratocaster

This is a full step by step tutorial showing how to install a Floyd Rose style double locking tremolo in a Strat style guitar. This process is NOT the same as installing one in another guitar, the strat design has some challenges that need to be overcome in order to get a solid reliable installation.

The summary of this tutorial:
-install locking nut (must remove wood from top of the fretboard)
-reinforce the tremolo and pickup cavities for the bridge mounting posts (so you don't crack or blow thru the wood into the pickup cavity)
-drill and set your post holes
-route for tremolo body
-install string retainer on the headstock
