Lower Engine Bay Temperatures. Modeled after the Ford implemented hood vents found on 2013-2015 Mustang GTs, these MMD Hood Vent Louvers are intended to deliver the same aggressive look to the front end of your 2005-2012 Mustang. Sold as a set of two, these hood vents are just as functional as they are stylish. Featuring a honeycomb insert at the base to filter out small debris, these louvers pass through the hood and allow the exchange of the hot engine bay air with cool air, thereby lowering the overall engine bay temperature.
Painted to Match. Made from durable ABS plastic, these MMD Hood Vent Louvers are available in two flavors. They can be pre-painted to match the factory color of your 2005-2012 Mustang, or can arrive plain in their natural matte black finish. If selecting the pre-painted version, AmericanMuscle's internal paint booth will spray them for you using the same urethane-based base coat and clear coat that Ford uses at the factory.
Hood Modification Required. Installing these aggressive MMD Hood Vent Louvers on your 2005-2012 Mustang does require cutting access panels into the hood. Now, this may seem pretty daunting, but if you have the proper tools and follow the included instructions and templates, these louvers can certainly be installed at home. Expect to spend 2 hours to get these hood vents in place. If you prefer to have them professionally installed, any competent body should will be able to drop these into your hood without any trouble.
