5 Songwriting Tips That Changed The Way I Write Songs

Whether you're a beginner who's just learning how to write a song from start to finish or you're a well seasoned musician, here are 5 ways I've learned to write better music using basic song structures and a bit of emotion. From the music production & mixing aspect to the lyrical content, writing music is so much more than just coming up with a sonic idea. You have to be able to tell a story through your audio along with what you're saying and so I've found that utilizing something called "Freytag's Pyramid" helps me a lot during this songwriting process. So here are 5 different sections of songs & techniques you can use when you're putting on your songwriter hat to help you along the way. While this tutorial is geared towards beginners I find that even I revisit these tips to inspire me when I'm facing writers block or hit a brick wall. It's more than just lyrics! It's all about the feeling you put into what you're making.
