Emil's Lego Guitar Cousin Request Day. Tuesday Aug. 27, 2024

Lego the Guitar, finally arrived Monday evening, Aug. 26, at the Gothenburg airport after having been mistakenly flown to the Arlanda airport in Stockholm. (An entirely whole other story for a whole other day). What a magical day in Emil's over-the-top in-home recording studio. Watching him take and re-take video until he was satified, which I came to realize is a very high bar indeed. What a delight to witness Emil's extraordinary technical skills. Seamlessly moving between four different video monitors, three keyboards and three different software applications. Decisively and effortlessly editing audio, video and composing guitar tabulature. A remarkable process that ultimately results in exceptional finger-style guitar instructional video lessons. Professional guitar lessons that Emil shares on his youtube channel and with his colleagues at ProGuitar.com. Each lesson consists of three parts. First, the performance part played at standard tempo. Secondly, the slowed down, chord by chord, note by note instructional part. Also, the instructional portion always begins with comments about the guitar tuning. G6 in this case. And finally Emil composes the lesson with notation and tabulature for the benefit of all his students that do not read music. I was so exicted to receive this video from Emil today. So without further ado here he is, Emil Ernebro performing one of my favorite ballads on the Lego guitar I built expressly for him.
