My Avon Training|How To Sell More Avon Products Inside Your Avon Store Faster Online
This unbiased Avon Review was written as an unbiased look at the question many of you are asking; how to sell Avon. Please keep in mind, I am not an Avon representative and do not sell their products.
This article will help you in your due diligence research as you either consider becoming a rep. yourself, or are just researching different business opportunities to try to decide which one, if any, are right for you. I'll also lend some success advice to those of you who are already a rep but you're not happy with the level of success you're experiencing.
The company was actually founded over 100 years ago by a man named David McConnell. His desire was to create a business model primarily geared towards women, with products that women would enjoy. He wanted to provide a business model that would make it possible for women to make extra money. Now, all these years later, it is estimated that they have some 6.5 million sales rep's worldwide, many of who are women.... surprise surprise.
When writing a review on any company, products, guru, or opportunity, one of the first things I look at is the turnover rate.
The Turnover: Although the turnover or "drop off" rate is expected to be somewhat high with network marketing opportunities and MLM's, the drop off rate with this company is a bit higher. It has been estimated that only 1 out of three Rep's last more than 1 year! Avon has attempted to lessen the number of turnovers by implementing training programs.
The Training: As with most MLM companies and network marketing opportunities, you'll receive their version of "network marketing sales training 101" which goes something like this...
Step #1: Prospecting:
Go to your family and friends. After all, how could they say no right?
Make a list of people (by profession),and call them!
Duplicate what you're doing by training your down-line recruits to do the same.
Step #2: Rinse and Repeat...
Sound familiar? Of course it does, if you have ever been a part of a network marketing opportunity or MLM. As with most other companies who focus on network marketing, they teach very similar techniques but leave out internet training.
I am not trying to discount the company, products, or opportunity. In fact, most people who use their products are very happy with the quality. So, as far as the product review goes, I'd give it a passing grade. I am only addressing the challenges that many representatives face when they choose to sell Avon to make money. It's important to know what to expect this side of the decision.

Just be careful not to get over excited and buy the store! The fact is, becoming an Avon representative does have some upfront cost for supplies like brochures, samples of products, Avon customer bags, and training materials.
Think twice if you're an avid shopper!If you already have a hard time walking through the bath and bed store, you might prepare yourself to have self control. The deals might seem hard to pass up, again costing you more than you make in commissions.
What does it take to succeed? The bottom line is this. Finding success can be difficult with any MLM, especially in the short-term, unless you have a ton of friends and family, super high drive to succeed, and the ability to hear no without getting discouraged. I would recommend, in addition to the traditional referral marketing campaigns, to implement a solid online marketing strategy. This is the secret that many of the top income earners in all network marketing companies have.
With determination, diligence, and some guidance, you could easily learn some free online techniques focused at driving traffic to your own website. It is possible to do very well with this company with the right online approach. The Avon competition online isn't very competitive! (I checked)
