Chinnajiru kiliye Padam in Kannada - Muddu putta giliye - Divya Bhat

Описание к видео Chinnajiru kiliye Padam in Kannada - Muddu putta giliye - Divya Bhat

This padam was originally composed in Tamil by the renowned and revered Sri Subramania Bharati. It is filled with various emotions of a mother whose life revolves around her little daughter.

With immense gratitude and respect to Sri Bharathiyar, this was translated into Kannada by my Guru, Vid. Vidyashree Radhakrishna in an attempt to bring it closer to the audiences in our region. I also extend my gratitude to Guru Bragha Bessell who conceptualized this song and brought it to life in our minds.

Meaning of the song:

Oh, my sweet little parrot! You are my adorable priced possession.
You have come (into my life) to end my sufferings and make me proud in this world.

My little one, you paint such beautiful stories with your nectar like words,
(How can I resist) the way you crave for my warm hugs and dance around me, my honey!

It is heart-warming to watch you come running to me and
when you play around in your own world, my soul yearns for you, sweet one!

It makes me so very proud to kiss you on your forehead and
Just hearing the words of praise about you from the villagers gives me goosebumps!

Those little pecks on cheeks raise my spirits and make me feel intoxicated
And when I take you in my arms and hug you dearly, my world freezes around you

Seeing those droplets of tears in your eyes aches my heart as if it is stabbed and bleeding,
Why not, after all it is you for whom I live, the apple of my eye!
