Dug & I have been having a hard time these last few months getting back to the same team we were before we had to take 6 months off due to his dw fall injury. Between switching to running dogwalks with just a short period to train the transition, continuing to push for more speed despite not being quite the handler I need to be, & learning to once again get those amazing jumping & turning skills he previously had. Video starts with our standard run where we were able to beat Mary's amazing BC Khaos by just a fraction of a second & were slower than Kathy Owen's amazing BC Johnnie by only .02 seconds, but knocked the last bar... the running contacts made that possible. Then a nice jumpers run where we knocked a few bars & I did a rear cross into the tunnel that I didn't execute correctly (I SOOO had time for the front cross & should have trusted myself to make it)! Then part of the standard run today where I ended with a blind cross into an ass pass, that resulted in too wide a turn before the triple (along with some other mistakes prior to that), & part of our FAST course from Fri. with another nice running dogwalk (we were only 2/5 this weekend, but got all our running aframes). We have a long way to go, but with hard work maybe we can get back to where we left off last Nov.
