Описание к видео Conserving the Fascinating Freshwater Mussels of the Coosa River Basin

In this video, learn about the native freshwater mussels in the upper Coosa watershed, threats they face, and actions we are taking to restore the watershed. The Coosa watershed is a hotspot for freshwater biodiversity, but faces many threats from urban, industrial, and agricultural development. The Coosa Moccasinshell project highlighted at the end of the video was a collaboration with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, the Nature Conservancy, the Coosa River Basin Initiative, and the US Fish and Wildlife Service.
