ピーチは、１０歳で初めてジンを産みました。

動物園のチンパンジーは、出産や育児を学習する機会がまったくなかったり乏しいため、高い確率で育児放棄となります。少し古いデータですが、二人に一人は人工保育になっています。

ピーチも自分が産んだジンが何者なのか理解できず、育てることができませんでした。

産み落とされたジンは、血の海で泣いていました。

ジンは約１年間飼育員が育てたあと、子育てのベテランだったミルの母サザエが育てました。
ジンを育てあげたあと、サザエはデッキーの子を出産する際、死亡しました。

ジンの名前は、一人暮らしにならないよう、仲間たちの中で暮らしてもらいたい、お酒のカクテルのようにみんなと混ざり合ってほしいという願いからお酒のジンからつけられました。

ピーチは、ジンを産んだ１１年後、第二子のプラムを産み、そして育てています。

Peach gave birth to her first child, Gin, when she was ten years old.
Chimpanzees in zoos have a high rate of child abandonment because they have no or few opportunities to learn how to give birth and raise children.

Peach could not understand what kind of creature the baby she gave birth to, and she could not raise it.

The newborn Gin was crying in a pool of blood.

Gin was raised by a zookeeper for about a year, and then raised by Mil's mother, Sazae, who was a veteran child-rearing veteran.
Sazae dies in an accident while giving birth to Decky's baby.

The keepers wanted Gin to live with his friends in the troops so he wouldn't be alone.
The keepers named him Gin because they wanted him to mix with everyone like an alcoholic cocktail.

Peach gave birth to her second child, Plum, 11 years after giving birth to Gin.
Plum is now being raised by her mother, Peach.
