Madeira is a Portuguese island in the Atlantic Ocean at the coast of Marocco, Africa. Madeira is the largest and most populous of the Madeira Archipelago which include the islands of Ilhéu de Agostinho, Ilhéu de São Lourenço, Porto Santo, Ilhas Desertas, Ilhas Selvagens and Ilhéu Mole. Madeira has a population of 300,000, most of whom live in the capital city of Funchal. Madeira is well known for its wine and for the tropical plants and flower. Therefore, Madeira is also known as the 'Flower Island'.
