J-35 fighter tests on Liaoning The latest Chinese aircraft carrier borne stealth jet

Recent photographs have emerged depicting the Liaoning embarking with mockups of two intriguing fighter jets: the J-35 stealth medium size fighter and a variant of the J-15. Considering the Liaoning's utilization of ski jumps for launching aircraft, the J-35 is now confirmed to be able to use the ski jump as well as catapult for launching.

Also, based on latest press release, the J-35 stealth fighter will be equipped with two powerful WS19 engines. Its radar cross-section is a mere 0.01 square meters. Carries an advanced radar system. The takeoff weight of the J-35 will reach 35 tons, with a payload of 8 tons, and it can carry up to 8 missiles in its bays and on its wings. The operational radius of the J-35 reaches 1350 kilometers, with a maximum speed of Mach 2.2. This could lead to a significant augmentation of China's naval aviation capabilities.

It's important to acknowledge that these are currently just mockups. This undeniably represents a noteworthy advancement in China's military modernization efforts, and it warrants our continued observation.
