Hello, I'd just like to show you how I generate cardboard bedding for my worms. This is the fastest and cheapest method I know. Corrugated cardboard is one of the best beddings for worms for several reasons:

1. Cardboard is free and plentiful. I mainly use Amazon boxes that I get. I think it's better to compost them then throwing them into the landfill.
2. Because the cardboard is corrugated that means that it has air pockets in it, which is good to keep oxygen in the bin (until it breaks down of course)
3. Shredding it like this also creates a lot of air in between the shreds.

In addition I also use a bit of coco coir mixed in the with cardboard when I soak it the water to get it ready. The coco coir creates grit in between the cardboard so that it doesn't stick and clump together like paper mache. I find that the sticking together is really bad with regular paper, which is why I only use a small percentage of paper.
