The characters are those who perform the actions of the story. The protagonists or main characters are the most important characters in the story, and the secondary characters are of lesser importance. Setting is where the story takes place. All the actions that happen in order in the story are known as plot. Finally, all stories deal with a theme, such as love, friendship or fear.
