"We launched fb.gg, which is just an early start as a place where we're aggregating a lot of great gaming content into one place, so people can come and find the games that they love and have a really, really good time finding creators, finding games from particular developers, they can follow developers, they can follow creators etc. It's just a great way for people to engage even more with games."

6. SOUNDBITE (English) Leo Olebe, Global Director, Games Partnerships, Facebook:
"When you have massive, massive, massive numbers of people around the world playing games, you can't ignore how powerful a community the games community is. I've been in games for almost 20 years, I've been a gamer for my entire life, it's something that people love to share. They love to watch, they love to play, they love to talk about, they love to take pictures of. Like you name it, the games community is vibrant, it's thriving, it's exciting."

8. SOUNDBITE (English) Jackson Van Over, Facebook streamer 'JV2017':
"Everyone has their real name on Facebook it's just like any other page on Facebook. And so, you come in and you meet real people. I think that's the real difference. You know, they're not hiding behind names or anything like that. And so, I interact with people as Jackson and they tell me their name and I'm able to interact with them like real human beings."

11. SOUNDBITE (English) Ian Sherr, Executive Editor, CNET:
"Facebook is already one of the top places to go for games. There are tons of games on Facebook. Now, a lot of people play them in their messenger app and all sorts of other stuff. What's different is that those games aren't so often the big names that we hear at this show at the E3. They tend to be much more casual. And so, could Facebook become more than that ? I don't know. Facebook right now is kind of known as a broad-based platform, whereas there are comparatively fewer gamers in the world. So, we'll see."

LEADIN:
Facebook is rivalling Twitch and YouTube by introducing its own video game streaming hub, called 'fb.gg.'
The social network is exhibiting at Los Angeles' Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), a major event for the video game industry.
STORYLINE:
According to Facebook, around 81 million people around the world have posted, liked, commented or shared related to E3 and games over 235 million times on its platform.
Therefore, it should be no surprise that the California-based company has a presence at the annual Los Angeles games fest.
The aim? To become the place online for gamers to interact.
The social network recently announced it was launching a new video game streaming hub, called 'fb.gg.' It will bring together gaming related video all in one place.
"Everyone has their real name on Facebook it's just like any other page on Facebook," he says.
