Jawarharlal Institute of Post graduate Medical Education and Research was established in 1823. JIPMER recruitment process is not just for faculty members. There are a lot of non-teaching positions available, every year, in JIPMER. Doctors, researchers, pharmacists, technicians and other related positions are open every year. The educational criteria, age criteria and other requirements would vary from position to position, year to year and also from caste to caste.
Candidates applying for JIPMER jobs should apply online and pay the application fee through demand draft (if applicable). If the candidate is already working in any central or state government organization or public organization, the candidate has to submit a ‘no objection certificate’ from the current employer on getting selected. For certain positions, the candidates have to send the bio-data in an A4 sheet or download the application format and send it to the address mentioned in the job advertisement.
The candidates fulfilling the criteria for application would be called in for a written test and interview. The candidates who are selected in the process would be called in for the subsequent levels of selection process. If the candidate fails to provide no objection certificate or the originals of any document mentioned in the application form or if any information provided by the candidate is found to be wrong, the candidate would be considered ineligible.
The written test would have three different question papers. The papers might or might not have the same questions in same or different order. The test includes questions about the job that the candidate is applying, quantitative aptitude (if applicable), general knowledge, general awareness and English test. For positions that involve usage of computers, the question paper would possess a session on basic computer knowledge too.
