Dealing with a mean kid that is being unkind to our child is an unpleasant fact of growing up. We may teach our kid to just ignore the child, or avoid them, but these suggestions are only part of the solution.

This video explains a technique that uses clever psychology to help children and teens understand why kids can be mean in an entirely new way. It can be an effective tool to help reduce the unpleasantness when a child encounters meanness, and also can help them get past the experience and move on.

This technique is for common everyday sleights and not more serious physical bullying which is an entirely different phenomenon requiring reasonable involvement with parents and teachers.
