I used the LMI manual fret slotting jig to cut the frets and it was pretty easy to use, so I would recommend it. I don't think I could have used the table saw method with the particular table saw that I have (without bypassing the safety feature). The blade to cut frets is smaller than normal and I don't have the right sized brake cartridge for my saw to be able to use that blade. Honestly, I don't even know if they make a cartridge for that size blade.
