Ghorkashtodharan Stotra Pathan 108 times | Sadguru

The Ghorkashtodharan Stotra, written by Shri Vasudevanand Saraswati, is dedicated to Shreeguru Dattatray. Through this stotra, we surrender to Shree Dattatreya and ask him to eliminate the obstacles and difficulties in our life. In the holy scripture, Matruvatsalyavindanam, Sadguru Aniruddha (Bapu) has written that in the Kaliyug, it is only Shree Dattatray's Bhakti which will salvage man, and these are the words of Mother Mahishasurmardini Herself. Sadguru Aniruddha has also said that chanting this Stotra 108 times at least once during the month of Shravan is beneficial.

Since 2003, Sadguru Shree Aniruddha Upasana Trust has organised Ghorkashtodharan Stotra Pathan (chanting) during the entire month of Shravan. In each session, the Stotra is chanted 108 times. Shraddhavans can avail of this opportunity by visiting one of the locations where this chanting has been arranged or may chant the Stotra at home at their convenience. Nevertheless, the benefits one derives from collective recitation are always multifold.

।। घोरकष्टोद्धरण स्तोत्र ।।

श्रीपाद श्रीवल्लभ त्वं सदैव । श्रीदत्तास्मान्पाहि देवाधि देव ।।
भावग्राह्य क्लेशहारिन्सुकीर्ते ।घोरात्कष्टादुद्धरास्मान्नमस्ते ॥१॥

त्वं नो माता त्वं पिताप्तोऽधिपस्त्वं। त्राता योगक्षेमकृत्सदगुरूस्त्वं ।।
त्वं सर्वस्वं ना प्रभो विश्वमूर्ते ।घोरात्कष्टादुद्धरास्मान्नमस्ते ॥२॥

पापं तापं व्याधिंमाधिं च दैन्यं । भीतिं क्लेशं त्वं हराऽशुत्व दैन्यम् ।।
त्रातारं नो वीक्ष ईशास्त जूर्ते । घोरात्कष्टादुद्धरास्मान्नमस्ते ॥३॥

नान्यस्त्राता नापि दाता न भर्ता । त्वतो देव त्वं शरण्योऽकहर्ता ॥
कुर्वात्रेयानुग्रहं पुर्णराते । घोरात्कष्टादुद्धरास्मान्नमस्ते ॥४॥

धर्मेप्रीतिं सन्मतिं देवभक्तिम्। सत्संगप्राप्तिं देहि भुक्तिं च मुक्तिम् ।।
भावासक्तिर्चाखिलानंदमूर्ते । घोरात्कष्टादुद्धरास्मान्नमस्ते ॥५॥

॥श्लोकपंचकमेतद्यो लोकमंगलवर्धनम् ॥ प्रपठेन्नियतो भक्त्या स श्रीदत्तप्रियोभवेत् ॥
इति श्रीवासुदेवानंदसरस्वती स्वामीविरचितं घोरकष्टोद्धरण स्तोत्रम् संपूर्णम।
