⚙️ Step-by-Step Dressing Guide:

1. Mounting the TPN MCB

Install Four Pole TPN MCB as main incomer at the top of the DB.

Connect incoming 3 phase wires (R, Y, B) and Neutral from the mains to the input terminals of the TPN.


2. Outgoing Connections from TPN

From the output of TPN:

Take 3 phase wires (R, Y, B) and Neutral.

Distribute them to busbars or directly to outgoing MCBs.



3. Busbar Connections

Use 3-phase copper busbars for R, Y, B phases if multiple circuits are to be fed.

Connect:

R phase to Red Busbar

Y phase to Yellow Busbar

B phase to Blue Busbar


Neutral wire goes to Neutral Busbar.

Earth wire (green) to Earth Busbar.


4. Outgoing MCBs Wiring

Connect outgoing MCBs (SP or DP) to respective phase from busbars.

Example: Lighting to R phase, ACs to Y phase, Sockets to B phase


Take load wires from each MCB to respective circuit.


5. Neutral and Earth Wiring

Connect all load circuit neutrals to the Neutral Busbar.

All earth wires to the Earth Busbar.


6. Dressing and Ferruling

Use ferrules to label all wires (phase, neutral, earth).

Tie and align wires using cable ties and PVC sleeves.

Maintain color coding:

Red – R phase

Yellow – Y phase

Blue – B phase

Black/Blue – Neutral

Green – Earth



7. Safety Checks

Double-check:

Tightness of all connections.

No exposed copper.

MCBs are in correct phase sequence.

Earth continuity.



8. Phase Sequence Check (Optional)

Use a phase sequence meter to verify correct R-Y-B order before energizing.
