The total length of the string light is about 7 feet. There are 10 lights spaced every 6 inches and each has a plastic orange pumpkin with smiling jack-o-lantern face. The pumpkins are translucent to allow the light through and are made of a fairly lightweight and semi-durable plastic. They'll hold up to some banging around, but definitely aren't crush or drop proof. The set comes with two replacement light bulbs and one spare fuse in the plastic bag taped to the cord. I'm not confident the pumpkins are easily removed in the event you have to change one of the bulbs, and you may have to reapply adhesive after a bulb change. The end of the cord has an expansion socket so you can string multiple units together (up to 216 Watts). These are regular incandescent holiday lights, not LEDs and they are bright, fun, and festive for your decorating needs.
