Ehlers Danlos syndrome (EDS) is a disease of abnormal collagen production. Very little has been studied about how EDS patients can preserve collagen, which aesthetic procedures are worth it, which are tolerated, and which of them are risky or a waste of time. Being a physician, I really only know about the disease based on what I learned in medical school and my personal experience.

One of the reasons that I started my channel is because I not only want to teach what I know, but I also want to learn and share.

The procedures I have had:
Botox: for about 20 years around my eyes due to my hooded eyes and excess skin and skin laxity from EDS. No complications. Worth it.

Upper eyelid blepharoplasty (for the same reason as above). No complications. Worth it.

BBL for rosacea: Basically cured my rosacea. I got 3 treatments one month apart to start, then I did it q 6 months, and now yearly. No complications. Worth it.

V beam for rosacea and a scar on my face from EDS (Complication from efudex--story later). For rosacea. No complications. Worth it. For the red scar...still in progress. Will keep you posted.

Lip Filler: Cause my friend is a cosmetic dermatologist and he told I would love it. Yes, loved it, but it didn't last long....maybe because EDS patients metabolize medications differently? No complications. Not worth it.

I am almost 50 years old so I was late to the game of "antiaging skincare". I also have Ehlers Danlos which is a collagen disorder so preserving my skin health is of upmost importance. On a daily basis, I focus on my skin health as much as possible. I have transformed my skin over these past 5 years. Thank you so much for watching...more fun stuff to come. Retinoids, sunscreen, glowy, skincare, glazed donuts, LED masks and more. Please like, share, and subscribe :) See you in my next video! --
