Quantitative research is a method that involves analyzing and drawing interpretations from numerical data. Three critical questions guide this type of investigation: "how do we get the numbers?", "what do we do with the numbers?", and "what do we want to say with the numbers?" The answers to these questions are interconnected and involve steps like data collection, usage of statistical analysis techniques, and formulation of research objectives.

To excel in quantitative research, one must possess four crucial skills. These include understanding the subject study, comprehension of basic statistical analysis methods, proficiency in research design and methods application, and the ability to use statistical software. Ultimately, these skills help rule out alternative explanations, facilitate proper data interpretations, guide the efficient collection of information, and allow researchers to make meaningful and valid causal claims.
