1700HP Dodge Demon 170 Twin Turbo By Hennessey

Hennessey has just unveiled a new, exclusive department within its company, named "Hennessey Special Operations" (HSO). This new branch is all about crafting very limited, high-power vehicles for a small group of buyers who want something truly special. They plan to produce just 15 to 20 of these unique cars each year. Interested buyers can throw their hat in the ring through a special website set up just for HSO.

One of the first projects from this new division is the 'Demon 1700 Twin-Turbo'. This car is not just any vehicle off the assembly line; it's a custom build featuring a completely redesigned engine and transmission. The original V8 engine that comes supercharged in the Demon 170 is being carefully packed away, while the new setup includes two large turbochargers to significantly boost its power. With a stronger powertrain in place, the car is designed to deliver unmatched performance, especially when running on E85 ethanol. The goal for this beast is to hit a quarter-mile drag time of 7.9 seconds at a speed of 175 mph.

However, getting your hands on one of these will not be easy. HSO plans to make only 12 of the 'Demon 1700 Twin-Turbo' models, with the starting price for each at around $200,000, not including the cost of the original Demon 170 vehicle. This initiative marks a significant move for Hennessey, aiming to offer an even more exclusive and personalized service to its already selective clientele.
