US P-8A Poseidon Joins Philippine Jets for Joint Patrols After CARAT
Breaking: Following the CARAT exercises, a U.S. Navy P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft flew to the Philippines to conduct the 9th bilateral Maritime Cooperative Activity (MCA) alongside the Philippine Air Force’s (PAF) FA-50PH jets and AT-29 Super Tucanos. The mission, which included an "intercept and escort" exercise of the P-8A by the FA-50PH, took place in the West Philippine Sea. This marks a strengthening of U.S.-Philippine defense cooperation, enhancing maritime surveillance and operational readiness in the South China Sea and demonstrating their collective commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific.
