Dignitatis humanae proclaims, '...[T]he right to religious freedom has its foundation in the very dignity of the human person.' How do we as educators teach that foundational truth to students who are diverse in their religious beliefs? The Religious Freedom Institute has responded to that question by creating a thematic unit for secondary students called America's First Freedom. This NCEA presentation will introduce America's First Freedom and model it for in-person and virtual instruction.
